– Apogem Capital Closes Real Assets Fund IV at $372 Million, Exceeding Target
Apogem Capital announced the final close of Apogem Real Assets Fund IV (ARAF IV) with $372 million in commitments, including $12 million from employees, exceeding its $300 million target.
– The fundraising program also includes an additional $100 million real assets co-investment separate account.
– ARAF IV follows Apogem’s thematic, value-oriented private real assets strategy, investing through co-investments, direct investments and secondaries in lower middle-market and middle-market opportunities.
– The Fund targets investments across energy, natural resources, infrastructure and related services, primarily in North America and other OECD markets.
– Its investment themes include energy security and reliability, growing power demand, infrastructure investment and aging infrastructure.
– Apogem’s dedicated Real Assets platform was established in 2014 and has deployed approximately $1 billion across the strategy.
– The Fund attracted commitments from existing limited partners and a diverse group of global institutional investors, including public and private pension plans, family offices and registered investment advisers (RIAs).
– Zac McCarroll, Managing Director and Head of Real Assets, said years of underinvestment and shifting demand for natural resources have reduced competition for high-quality assets at attractive valuations. He said ARAF IV aims to capitalize on these market conditions through a selective, value-oriented approach.
– Josh Niedner, CEO of Apogem Capital, highlighted investor interest in private real assets and their role in diversified private markets portfolios, citing long-term opportunities across energy, power and infrastructure.
– Apogem Capital manages $44 billion in private markets investments and draws on more than 25 years of relationships across its private equity and credit platforms.
