HarbourVest Partners Raises $4.75 Billion for Seventh Direct Co-Investment Program

– HarbourVest Partners held the final close of HarbourVest Partners Co-Investment Fund VII (HCF VII) at approximately $4.75 billion, exceeding its $4 billion target and attracting strong demand from new and existing global limited partners.

– HCF VII will invest in a diversified global portfolio of direct co-investments across buyout and growth equitystrategies alongside leading private equity sponsors.

– The program includes a dedicated growth equity fund that raised more than $500 million to target expansion-stage companies benefiting from AI, healthcare innovation, disruptive technologies, and other high-growth sectors.

– HarbourVest has raised more than $10 billion in additional co-investment capital alongside HCF VII over the past two years, with its broader platform spanning closed-end funds, separately managed accounts, and evergreen capital.

John Toomey, Chief Executive Officer of HarbourVest, said that as private markets become a larger part of long-term portfolios, investors are increasingly seeking diversified, high-quality opportunities. He added that HCF VII reinforces HarbourVest’s commitment to providing clients with access to attractive small- and mid-market co-investment opportunities.

Ian Lane, Managing Director at HarbourVest, stated that improving market conditions are creating more transaction and liquidity opportunities across buyout and growth equity. He said HCF VII is well positioned to build a diversified portfolio by investing alongside leading sponsors while capturing long-term growth trends, including AI.
