Stone Point Capital Closes Tenth Flagship Fund with $11.5 Billion of Committed Capital

– Stone Point Capital LLC closed its tenth private equity fund, Trident X, with $11.5 billion in total commitments.

– The fund exceeded its $9 billion target and hard cap, and is $2.5 billion larger than Trident IX, which closed in 2022.

– Strong support came from existing investors and new commitments from leading global institutional investors.

– The General Partner and affiliated entities contributed approximately $750 million.

Chuck Davis, Chairman and Co-CEO, emphasized the firm’s long-term focus on building value with exceptional owner-operators in the financial services industry.

James Carey, Co-CEO, highlighted the firm’s team stability, consistent strategy, and network as key differentiators.

– Trident X began investing in May 2025 and has already made its first investment in Ultimus Fund Solutions, a fund administration service provider.

– Stone Point has 30+ years of experience in financial services PE investing, starting in insurance underwritingand expanding into financial and business services.

– The senior leadership team has been in place since 1998.

– The firm engages in structured buyouts, carve-outs, and flexible transactions through its Trident Funds.

– To date, Stone Point has invested in over 160 companies across 10 verticals and 70+ sub-sectors.

– It also operates Stone Point Credit, a credit-investing platform with nearly $10 billion in AUM.
