
Sponsor Capital Raises Sixth Fund and Strengthens Its Team
– Sponsor Capital raised €231 million for its sixth fund, Sponsor Fund VI Ky, reaching its target size in the first and final closing.
– Total investment capacity, including parallel investments from key personnel, amounts to €260 million.
– The fundraising was targeted exclusively at selected investors and completed during the current year.
– The fund attracted both domestic and international institutional investors. 65% of the fund consists of leading Nordic pension funds.
– Virtually all previous investors continued with the new fund. The investor base was expanded with selected new partners.
– The fund was significantly oversubscribed.
– Investment activities for the new fund will commence in 2025.
– Joni Hämäläinen, Sofia Nyberg (née Otala), and Rafael Rantanen were appointed as partners.

– Focuses on Finnish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Typical target companies have revenues of €15–150 million at the time of investment.
