– Schroders Capital has closed its flagship co-investment fund, Global Direct IV, at $1.3bn, its largest closed-ended commingled private equity fund to date.
– The close brings more than $5bn raised across Schroders Capital’s private equity platform in 2026, marking the third consecutive year of record fundraising.
– Global Direct IV is a pure-play co-investment strategy focused on the small and mid-market, typically investing in companies with enterprise values below $1bn across Europe and the US, with selective growth investments in Asia.
– The fund targets five core sectors: healthcare, technology, business services, consumer and industrials, investing alongside specialist GPs in companies with transformational growth potential.
– Schroders Capital’s direct/co-investment strategy has completed more than 260 co-investments, with a 3.3x MOIC across 86 partially or fully realised investments; its three most recent announced exits are expected to generate a blended 6.0x MOIC and more than $1.2bn in proceeds.
