SC Capital Partners Raises $900m for Opportunistic APAC Real Estate Strategy

– SC Capital Partners, a Singapore-based institutional real estate investment firm, closed its sixth opportunistic Asia Pacific real estate fund, RECAP VI, at US$900 million.

– RECAP VI focuses on growth-oriented, opportunistic investments in developed Asia Pacific markets, leveraging SC Capital Partners’ expertise in technology and hospitality.

– Over 70% of the fund’s capital has already been deployed, with 44% allocated to Japan, particularly in hospitality and data centres.

– Investments include a portfolio of 27 hotels in Japan, managed by Japan Hotel REIT Advisors (JHRA), a subsidiary of SC Capital Partners.

– The fund is developing a data centre campus in Osaka, Japan, and a hyperscale facility in Bucheon, South Korea, in collaboration with SC Zeus Data Centers.

– The fund targets sectors driven by long-term macro trends, such as digital transformation and expanding cloud infrastructure.

– Chairman and Founder Suchad Chiaranussati remains optimistic about the Asia Pacific real estate sector, particularly in hospitality, data centres, industrial, and logistics.

– RECAP VI attracted strong support from institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, corporations, and top-tier institutions.

– The successful fund closing highlights SC Capital Partners’ ability to leverage its in-house specialist platforms to enhance operational efficiencies and create long-term value.
