Procuritas divests Netcontrol Group to ABB

– Procuritas Capital Investors VI (“Procuritas”) has signed an agreement to divest Netcontrol to ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation.

– The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

– Netcontrol, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, provides advanced solutions for electricity distribution networks, including SCADA and ADMS systems, substation automation, RTUs, and related engineering, commissioning, and SaaS services.

– Netcontrol serves customers across the Nordics, the UK, and the Baltics.

– Under Procuritas’ ownership, Netcontrol strengthened its market position through technology investments, product and service expansion, and building a highly skilled organization.

Johan Conradsson, Co-Managing Partner at Procuritas, praised Netcontrol’s employees for their expertise, dedication, and contribution to the company’s success in grid automation.

– Procuritas believes ABB is the right long-term owner to support Netcontrol’s growth and scale its solutions globally within ABB’s Distribution Solutions division.

Adrian Guggisberg, Division President at ABB Distribution Solutions, highlighted the importance of grid automation for the energy transition and described Netcontrol’s acquisition as a strong fit for ABB’s portfolio expansion.

Sami Kurunsaari, CEO of Netcontrol, emphasized that joining ABB will provide global scale and reach, allowing the company to serve more utilities and industrial customers while continuing to invest in existing products and services.
