Capitol Meridian Partners Raises $1.9 Billion for Fund II

– Capitol Meridian Partners (CMP) raised $1.9bn for Capitol Meridian Fund II, exceeding its target by 50% and reaching the fund’s hard cap.

– The fund includes $1.8bn in commitments from institutional limited partners and approximately $100m from CMP affiliates.

– Fund II is twice the size of CMP’s inaugural fund and was raised in one-quarter of the time, reflecting strong investor demand.

– CMP invests at the intersection of government and commercial markets, with a focus on national security, defense, and related sectors.

– More than 60 institutional investors committed to Fund II, primarily from the U.S., including pension funds, endowments, foundations, fund-of-funds, insurance companies, and family investors.

Brooke Coburn, Founding Partner at CMP, said the fund’s rapid and oversubscribed raise reflects strong market demand, the performance of Fund I, and the firm’s experienced team and operating partner network.

Adam Palmer, Founding Partner at CMP, said the evolving geopolitical landscape is increasing the need for private capital to strengthen national security and defense, and reaffirmed CMP’s commitment to supporting founders and mission-critical businesses.
