– Apogem Capital announced the final close of Apogem Private Equity Fund XI (APEF XI) at its $580 million hard cap, with employees committing an additional $17 million, bringing total committed capital to $597 million.
– APEF XI continues Apogem’s lower middle market strategy, investing across emerging fund managers, independent sponsors and direct investments in North America.
– Apogem employees and parent company New York Life Insurance Company also made meaningful commitments.
– The Fund builds on Apogem’s 25+ year track record in the lower middle market, which the firm considers an attractive but difficult-to-navigate segment of private equity.
– Louise Woltz Smith, Managing Director and Co-Head of Fund Investments, Apogem Capital: “We are grateful for the continued support of our longstanding investors and are pleased to welcome new institutional partners to APEF XI.”
– The Fund attracted commitments from a diverse group of global institutional investors, including public and private pension plans, family offices and RIAs, alongside meaningful commitments from Apogem employees and New York Life Insurance Company.
– Richard Wiltshire, Managing Director and Head of Co-investments, Apogem Capital: “Despite macroeconomic uncertainty and market volatility, we continue to find compelling opportunities in the lower middle market where activity levels and distributions have remained resilient.”
